Skin and Tonic is a great salon. They have excellent treatments and the salon is welcoming, calming and also spotlessly clean. The therapist was so lovely and knowledgeable about the products and made me feel extremely relaxed and revitalised in her capable hands. She also offered advice and sample products without the hard sell you can sometimes experience. Definately would recommend and hope to become a regular. And the name’s fun too!

Time spent at Skin and Tonic is relaxing, I am made to feel welcome and treated as an individual rather than just another client to be seen that day. I suppose that the word that sums up everything about Skin and Tonic is ‘special’.

Without exception the staff are courteous and punctual and always have a thorough knowledge of all products and treatments. They are always happy to make recommendations about which products suit my skin type and willingly offer samples before I make the decision whether or not to buy something new. This is important as no-one enjoys feeling pressurised to buy a product they may or may not like. Treatments are always carried out with extreme professionalism and sensitivity and the consistency of service is such that I have no hesitation in having treatments from any of the therapists at the salon. The facials are all so relaxing that I’m disappointed when they come to an end! I never feel rushed at the end of a treatment to leave the room as quickly as possible and am positively encouraged to ‘take my time’. The reception staff too are always polite and welcoming and are always helpful when dealing with enquiries over the phone.

Laura is never complacent with her business and is always looking for ways to improve the already high level of service offered and investigate new treatments and procedures. Skin and Tonic is not a business that stands still. She has created an excellent team spirit within her staff and is continually looking for ways to inspire and motivate them with incentives and team building tasks – she most definitely leads by example.

The salon itself is beautifully decorated and is always immaculately clean. I always feel as though I have entered a haven of tranquillity when I step through the door and am able to relax immediately. Many thoughtful finishing touches are included such as fabric bags in which to put jewellery whilst having a treatment. Scented candles and fresh flowers are also other delightful features.

I am delighted to have been a customer at Skin and Tonic since it first opened its doors nearly 20 years ago and have recommended the salon to many of my friends and shall continue to do so. It has been a pleasure for me watching the development of Skin and Tonic as it really is a very unique salon which prides itself in nothing less than perfection and I’m very happy to say that it succeeds.
